Our Story
Every great sauce has a story. Ours starts in Itoshima.
Born from a Love of Heat and Craft
Dans Kitchen was born from a simple but obsessive question: why is it so hard to find a hot sauce that's both genuinely fiery and genuinely delicious? Not just heat for heat's sake — but heat with depth, character, and a story worth telling.
Why Itoshima?
Itoshima, nestled on the northwestern tip of Kyushu, is one of Japan's most celebrated agricultural regions — blessed with rich volcanic soil, clean ocean air, and farmers who have been perfecting their craft for generations. When we discovered the chilies grown here, we knew we'd found something special.
Itoshima chilies are different. They carry a complexity that mass-produced peppers simply can't replicate — a brightness, a depth, a terroir that you can taste in every drop of our sauce.
Small-Batch. Always.
We will never mass-produce. Every bottle of ITO PERI and ITO NERO is made in small batches, by hand, with obsessive attention to quality. When a batch is gone, it's gone — and the next one will be just as carefully crafted as the first.
This Is Just the Beginning
Dans Kitchen is more than a hot sauce brand. It's a commitment to craft, to provenance, and to the belief that the best food tells a story. We're just getting started — and we're glad you're here for it.
